Why Melaleuca?

Why Melaleuca?
Why Melaleuca?
Reposted from
Recently, I started working with Melaleuca (http://www.melaleuca.com/).  So what lead me to this decision?  Well, I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and it is an expensive disease.  Even with insurance my medications and doctor’s visits are more than I can handle.  I enjoy my current job as a care taker and at the present time, I do not wish to quit.  However, my income does not seem to cover all my medical expenses as well as the extra money I need to spend on eating healthy.
So, I was looking for a work from home position.  I had been reading about some jobs on craigslist and other sights.  However, nothing was striking at me as the right company.  I did not want to sell make-up or candles or another product that people do not need (Melaleuca does sell make-up but it is allergy free).  I wanted to be a part of a product that people can use and will benefit their lives.
Melaleuca has that.  They sell products such as cleaners and dietary supplements that will benefit a person’s wellbeing as well as their pocket book.  Since most of these products are much less than the common grocery store.  In fact, my job is not to actually sell the product but to tell you about it and encourage you to become a member of the company so that you can enjoy the products as well.
Right now, my favorite product is the GC Control which is a meal replacement shake that also helps control your blood sugars and is low in sugar itself.  With ingredients such as chromium, cinnamon, green tea and sweet potato, these drinks give a person the boost that they need to get through the day.
In the past I have tried Glycerna, Slim Fast and other shakes.  None of them taste as good as GC Control.  Also, I have notices that my energy level has gone up since I have been drinking these shakes for breakfast.  As of now, they come in chocolate, caramel and apple& cinnamon.  The caramel is my favorite.
Other products I have tried include their energy bars and lotions.  So far, I have not been upset with any of their products.  So, if you are looking to shop green/ natural and even organic, Melaleuca may be the company for you.  www.livetotalwellness.com/kcpixie814

gomeals.com

Gomeals.com by Calorie King is an application that any one devoted to changing their lifestyle should have.  It is specifically designed for people with diabetes, however, anyone who would like to track their diet on their computer or smart phone can use it.  Once a person has signed up and logged on, it has three main areas:  track your food consumption for the day; track your exercise; and track your blood glucose level.  By doing this, it can

While logging food, it has lists of calories an item is at a restaurant.  Not only does it tell you calories, but carbs, fats, proteins and other nutritional items.  Having an application like this on one’s phone can help a person who is out at a restaurant and wants to know what would be geed to eat and what one would stay away from.

Under activities, one can record anything from walking to playing football.  As these activities are added, one can track how many calories they have burned and whether or not they have achieved their daily goal.  One could custom the application in order to show what their favorite activities as well as show charts that have their data listed.

Under blood glucose, one can record their daily readings.  This would be convenient on a smart phone due to the fact that one would not have to carry their recordings with them, they can just plug them into their phone.  One suggestion I would have for this section of the application is a place to record how much insulin that person takes with those readings because of the fact that most people take a BG reading in order to see if how much insulin that person needs before a meal.

I do like the fact that the blood glucose section asks if it is taken before a meal, after a meal or before or after exercising.  One thing I have learned with being diabetic is that when I exercise, I must make sure my blood sugars do not drop due to too much activity.  Thus, it is probably a good idea for me and others to check their levels before getting involved in too much activity.

I do recommend this gomeals.com  as one that is beneficial to making lifestyle changes.  Especially, when it comes to going out to eat.  As a diabetic and a dieter, going out to eat, which is a major social event, is definitely a challenge.  Having a convenient application of a smart phone, would help with these kinds of decisions.

7 Secrets to Losing Belly Fat

7 Secrets to Losing Belly Fat

As we age, we tend to gain weight, especially in our abdomens. In addition to making it more difficult to fit into last year's swimsuit, belly fat can have a significant impact on our health. That's because the fat doesn't just sit there, spoiling your silhouette. Belly fat and its companion visceral fat — the fat that hides deep in your body — continuously create inflammatory compounds which wreak havoc in your body, increasing the risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and many other conditions. Don't despair, though, because there are seven surefire ways to melt belly fat away:
Exercise before breakfast.A British study found that exercising before breakfast burns more body fat than exercising later in the day. As an added bonus, greater amounts of artery-clogging fats in the blood that cause heart attacks are reduced in early morning workouts. Participants underwent three trials one to two weeks apart, involving walking briskly for an hour before eating breakfast, taking the same walk after eating breakfast, or not exercising at all. Although exercising increased the amount of fat their bodies burned when compared to not exercising, exercising before breakfast caused a greater loss of fat — up to 33 percent more than exercising after breakfast.

Eat good fats. A diet rich in monounsaturated fats (MUFAs), such as olive oil, avocados, nuts, and seeds, can help melt away belly fat. Most experts agree that olive oil is one of the best for cooking and salads because of its high MUFA content, which lowers LDL ("bad") cholesterol. In addition, olive oil contains compounds that signal to your brain that your stomach's full, causing you to eat less and feel satiated longer.
Jog instead of lifting weights. Researchers at Duke University found that aerobic exercise is a much more efficient way to lose belly fat than resistance training or a combination of the two. A study of overweight adults ages 18 to 70 determined that aerobic training burned 67 percent more calories when compared to resistance training.

Eliminate trans fats. Although large amounts of trans fats have been eliminated from many foods, it's still hanging around in some vegetable shortenings, cookies, and snack foods. (Beware of the ingredient "partially hydrogenated oil.") Research at Wake Forrest University found that monkeys who were fed a Western-style diet that included trans fats gained 7.2 percent more body weight than those who were fed a diet of mono-unsaturated fats, such as olive oil. The number of calories and amount of fat in both diets was identical. Most of the weight gain was in the abdominal area.
Reduce stress. When you're stressed, your body releases a powerful hormonal mixture of adrenaline, cortisol, and insulin, which not only increases your appetite and causes your body to produce more fat, but also usually sends the extra fat straight to your waistline. For an immediate reduction in stress, close your eyes and take long, slow, deep breaths for about five minutes. Your stress level will fall — and so should those belly-bursting hormones.
Get enough sleep. Not getting enough sleep can throw off your body's natural rhythm and cause you to produce a great quantity of fat-inducing hormones, similar to hormones created when you're stressed. One study found that people who got sufficient sleep gained less belly fat over a five-year period when compared to those who were sleep-deprived.
Eat Fiber. Researchers at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center found that simply eating more soluble fiber from vegetables and fruits reduces visceral fat. They found that every 10-gram increase in soluble fiber eaten each day decreased the amount of belly fat by 3.7 percent over five years. Adding moderate activity decreased belly fat even further to 7.4 percent. Foods high in soluble fiber include apples, oats, peas, and beans. Two small apples contain 10 grams of soluble fiber. A study from Penn State found that people who ate a healthy diet that included all whole grains lost more belly fat than people who ate the same diet but ate refined grains instead. In addition, their levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) were lowered by 38 percent, while levels remained the same in the group who ate refined grains. High levels of CRP are linked to heart disease.

Get Back up Again

though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes. Proverbs 24:17

At one point in my life, I was trying to get out of sin and start serving God again (if you would like to know more about this, private message me).  This scripture was one that I continued to repeat to myself every time I would mess up.  Now, that I am dealing with a huge sin in my life, gluttony, I once again am meditating on this scripture.

“What if you have fallen more than seven times?”  You may ask.  Remember, that when Jesus was asked if we should forgive seven times, he said ‘no’ seventy times seven.  This means that in the new covenant, you may fall fifty times in your over eating but as long as you continue to get back up and try again tomorrow, you will someday make it.

Sei Bella Luxry Creme... By Melaleuca

Sei Bella Luxury Crème Comparison to NeriumAD Age Defying Treatment

When it comes to dramatic anti-aging creams on the market today, Sei Bella® Luxury Creme Concentrate distinguishes itself above the competition. Using a third-party laboratory, Sei Bella® Luxury Creme underwent rigorous testing and clinical trials. Using VISIA™—a multi-spectral imaging and skin surface topography technology—complexion maps were created to measure skin texture, spots, fine lines, deep lines, wrinkles, pores, evenness, and sagging. This type of analysis provides indisputable, unbiased data rather than relying on the subjective opinions of participants and/or doctors.

In as little as two weeks, Sei Bella Luxury Creme visibly improved skin in all areas measured, and within 28 days the improvements were staggering. The results from this clinical testing prove that Sei Bella® Luxury Creme delivers significant improvements in all the aging areas measured in 28 days or less.

NeriumAD™ Age Defying Treatment has a reputation as a “miracle” cream. It, too, has been clinically tested and shows improvement in skin aging areas within 30 days. Interesting point of fact, it relies on extracts from the Nerium oleander plant as its primary anti-aging ingredient. The Nerium oleander plant contains cardiac glycosides, rendering many parts of it poisonous. Glycosides have severe toxic effects on the body including the heart and other vital organs. Ingesting any type of Nerium oleander extract or the raw plant itself can cause oleander poisoning and may be fatal.

Comparing clinical results, NeriumAD™ Age Defying Treatment does not provide any advantage over Sei Bella® Luxury Creme and exposes consumers to dangerous toxic extracts. The chart below reviews every ingredient found in each product, listing the benefits and advantages of each. You’ll see that Sei Bella Luxury Creme has superior ingredients—not only in quantity but also in quality.

IHOP~ Daniel Fast

http://youtu.be/bVeMa5gVxfc  My pastor, Mike Bickle sent out an e-mail about a church wide Daniel fast in the month of August.  I may do a modified version.  Here  is the letter we got explaining the fast.  I think fasting is a good way to get healthy.  Not that starving brings to health but is shows God the seriousness in our eyes when it comes to petitioning a need to a loving God.

Dear Family and Friends,

The IHOPKC leadership team is calling a 21-day fast starting this Monday, August 5, until August 26, or for those who need more time to prepare, they can join us for the last 14 days of the fast, from Monday, August 12, to August 26.

I will give more more information and explanation about this fast during our Saturday FCF service (August 3) at 6pm (CT) and at our monthly IHOPKC all-staff meeting at 1pm (CT) this coming Tuesday (August 6). You can join us LIVE by webstream, or watch the archives. I will have a handout available at those times with more information, available for download on ihopkc.org .

Some of you know that I am diligently preparing to teach 10 sessions on the book of Daniel at the annual IHOPU End Times Intensive (Thursday to Saturday, August 29–31, 2013). Read more about this event »

I apologize for the last-minute notice for this 21-day fast, but it occurred to me justyesterday that since I plan to prepare for my IHOPU Intensive on the book of Daniel with a certain intensity for the next four weeks, I should do it in a spirit of heightened consecration like Daniel was embracing when he originally received the visions (Dan. 9:3; 10:2-3).

Daniel was on a 21-day fast when he received his final vision (Dan. 10:2).

So, I felt to go on a 21-day fast in studying and speaking about his visions.

This fast will have several emphases, including:
  1. Encountering the Lord in a personal way (as He does His work in us, He works better through us).
  2. Contending for a spiritual breakthrough for our families, churches, and nation, and especially for Jerusalem.
  3. Seeking greater understanding of God's heart and end-time plan as seen in the book of Daniel. This book has great relevance for this hour in history.
I realize that the suddenness of this announcement does not give people time to prepare in the practical areas of their life and family schedules, so they may not be able to participate in the way that they would like to. I don't want to burden my friends with this, but to invite them to join as they are able and have grace.

Just yesterday I shared this call with some IHOPKC leaders, and within 12 hours the majority responded quickly and enthusiastically to embrace this fast.

I called the IHOPKC leadership team to commit to 21 days (or 14 days) along with the following 3 commitments:
  1. To be in the prayer room 6 hours a day (for the full-time IHOPKC staff) for the next 21 days (or 14 days). I encourage those not on the IHOPKC staff to come to one prayer meeting a day (if they live close by), or to have a personal prayer and Bible study time for 1–2 hours each day.
  2. To read the book of Daniel each day for 21 days (this will take about one hour, reading at an average pace).
  3. To fast media entertainment, etc., i.e., to only use the Internet for work-related purposes and to only engage in entertainment (watch movies) that is overtly biblical (e.g., Bible stories, the life of Jesus, etc.).
A Daniel Fast: A common approach to a Daniel Fast includes eating vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and seeds, etc. (Dan. 1:12; 10:3). Many agree that Daniel abstained from all meat, sugar, dairy products, wine, and from all pleasant foods (this includes anything that enhances the flavor of food—seasonings, salad dressings, sweetener, etc.). I will give more details on this in my handout that will be available online this Saturday night.

A biblical fast is to abstain from food for spiritual reasons. It is more than a diet.

We have documents on our website that give biblical and practical guidelines for fasting. There are many other helpful resources on fasting on the Internet.

My first thought was to do this fast with a few friends, but, knowing many of you, I thought that some of you would want to join us.

With such a short window to get in a 21-day fast before the Daniel Intensive starts on August 29... well, it is now or never, so we are starting this Monday, August 5.

If you want to commit to this 21 days, or 14 days, of consecration but have something on your calendar that involves a key family event that cannot be changed (wedding) or one that is difficult to change (anniversary or family birthday celebration, etc.), then I encourage you to go ahead with that event and the meal related to it, and then just continue with the fast.

With passion for Jesus,

Mike Bickle

PS: Join us this Saturday at 6pm and/or on Tuesday at 1pm by webstream. I will give more information and explanation about this fast during our Saturday FCF service (August 3) at 6pm (CT) and at our monthly IHOPKC all-staff meeting at 1pm (CT) this coming Tuesday (August 6). You can join us LIVE by webstream, or watch the archives. I will have a handout available at those times with more information. Join us and find the handout at ihopkc.org.
